Dear Hiring Manager:
In your ad in last Sunday’s Post, you stated that you needed an experienced elevator mechanic. As you will see when you read my resume, I believe I have the necessary skills and qualifications to excel at this job.
For most of my career, I have been involved in all aspects of elevator installation and maintenance. I have a thorough understanding of all of the requirements necessary for a successful job, and my organizational ability allows me to complete my assignments well within the acceptable time frame.
My present position entails the coordination of equipment and its component parts according to client specifications as outlined on blueprints. I take pride that my work always has passed rigid inspections.
As I am accustomed to preparing logs and reports, paperwork would be no problem. I am considered a good communicator, using this ability to train other personnel and make recommendations to owners/managers to increase efficiency at the installation sites where I have worked. The frequent travel you describe in your ad would not interfere with my personal obligations.
If this position is still available, I would like the opportunity to talk with you in person and discuss how my skills would benefit your company. You may contact me on my cell phone during the workday or at home after 4:30 p.m.
Sincerely,
Arnold Den
