Dear Ms. Richards:
First off, belated congratulations to everyone at Kenyon College for being listed in the Kaplan/Newsweek "How to Get into College" issue as one of the year's "hottest colleges." To that end, it would be an honor for me to join the Kenyon staff as the Head Men's Basketball Coach and strive to uphold the high standards of your institution. Please accept the enclosed resume as my sincere interest in this position.
With 18 years of coaching (14 of those at the collegiate level), extensive experience in Division III athletics and broad knowledge of the North Coast Athletic Conference, I have much to offer as the Head Coach of the Kenyon Lords. In addition, my background as a Division III player and coach have greatly helped shape my coaching and administration philosophies regarding intercollegiate athletics. Those philosophies begin and end with academics and the true meaning of being a student-athlete.
I am eager to discuss with you my background and the position of Head Men's Basketball Coach. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions concerning my resume and references. I look forward to the opportunity of meeting with you to discuss my candidacy. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Rony Conrad
