Dear Ms. Lawrence:
I noted with interest your ad for a personal assistant in the April issue of The Personal Caretaker.
A nonsmoker whose children are grown, I have experience as a personal assistant and home caretaker. The duties of my current position include operating a household, maintaining gardens and a greenhouse, running errands, cooking, light housekeeping, serving as hostess, arranging transportation, and accompanying individuals and groups on outings and trips to medical appointments.
While attending to my duties, I always look for ways to improve service. For my current employer, I have made the following contributions:
- Increased income potential through development of a new management system.
- Restored an empty greenhouse and created new flower beds from scratch.
- Reorganized the household to operate more efficiently.
- Provided extra support to individuals in need.
A copy of my resume is enclosed for your review. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the personal assistant position or related positions in the Bucks County area for which I am qualified. You can reach me at ( 123) 456 789, where I am currently on a leave of absence.
Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
