As a self-confident individual with a commanding presence and excellent interpersonal skills, I believe I offer the right combination of skills and traits to be just that person.
As you can see from my enclosed resume, I have accumulated two years of professional experience since earning my degree. In my current position in the Consumer Affairs group of a major pharmaceutical company, I have the opportunity to serve both internal and external clients. Always exercising good judgment, I have demonstrated the ability to deal effectively with people from all backgrounds, earning their trust and respect. Often faced with frustrated or angry callers, my record shows that I am able to respond in a calm manner, defusing tensions through patient, but persuasive, discussions.
While in college, I was a member of the Corp of Cadets, a full-time ROTC leadership program. Coming from a family of Police Officers and firefighters, the disciplined, regimented lifestyle suited me well, and by senior year, I was second-in-charge to a group of 50 junior cadets. An advocate of giving back to the community, I was also a frequent volunteer for numerous service activities.
Among the strengths I offer, you will find that I am proactive, observant, disciplined and thorough. I am also known as a team player with excellent communication skills who works hard to get the job done. These are traits that have served me well in the past, and I am confident they can be put to good use on your police force as well.
