Sample Receptionist Customer Assistant Cover Letter
November 25, 2010
Dear Hiring Manager:
As a hardworking individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to helping others, I would like to explore the possibility of putting my skills and experience to work for you as a receptionist/customer assistant. I learned of your opening through a friend, Cindy Walters. She indicated that she thought I would provide a good match for your needs.
As you can see from my enclosed resume, during my career I held a variety of administrative positions, nearly all within American Telephone, where I established a reputation for efficiency, accuracy and exceptional service to internal and external customers. A receptionist for the company's School of Business for six years, I redefined the role to encompass customer service responsibilities. In addition to greeting and directing visitors to the facility, I took an active role in addressing problems and finding appropriate solutions, doing whatever was necessary to ensure smooth operation of this 30-classroom facility.
Customer service is a field particularly suited to my strengths as I enjoy helping people, am quick on my feet, and deal effectively with difficult people. I consider myself a team player who is enthusiastic about helping out in any way I can. In addition, I am organized and well equipped to handle the demands of multiple projects.
In the past, I have proven to be a valued employee. I am confident that I will be an asset to you as well. I would be pleased to have the opportunity to discuss future employment and look forward to speaking with you. Feel free to contact me at the address and phone number listed above.
Thank you for your consideration.
